This is, of course, a classic Irish dish. Its extremely economical to make, and filling on a cold night. I serve it with minute steaks, chicken, pork chops, sandwiches, etc.
Cabbage and Potatoes
1 head green cabbage, chopped
4 potatoes, peeled and cut into quarters
butter
salt and pepper
Boil potatoes with just enough water to cover. When half done, add cabbage. Cover, and finish cooking. Drain. Add butter, salt, and pepper.
