This is a Campbell's recipe...You could substitute tuna for the chicken. I have this recipe posted under tuna and fish as well. This is a quick, stovetop, one dish meal...I make it in the microwave. Good for leftover chicken or turkey.
Chicken Pasta Casserole
3 cups uncooked corkscrew pasta
1 3/4 cups chicken broth
1 3/4 cups water
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
1 can (13oz) chicken, with juice OR leftover, shredded chicken
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
2 Tbsp italian seasoned bread crumbs
2 tsp butter, melted
For Stovetop: Cook pasta in water and broth until just tender. Do not drain. Add soup, milk, and chicken. Top with cheese. Mix bread crumbs and butter. Sprinkle on top. Heat through.
Serves 4
For Microwave: In a large, microwave safe bowl, add pasta, broth, water, mushroom soup, milk, & chicken. Cover, and cook on high about 10 minutes. Add cheese and stir. Cook another 5 minutes. Check to see of pasta is cooked through. If not, cover and cook another 5-10 minutes,or until pasta is tender. Mix bread crumbs and butter. Sprinkle on top.
