Volcano Spuds

My sister originally named this "White Trash Skillet". I'm not entirely clear as to the reason...something to do with cheap food. I prefer to call it Volcano Spuds. My mom made this up when I was a kid.

Volcano Spuds
4 cups mashed potatoes (either fresh or leftover)
1 polska keilbasa sausage (I like Hillshire Farms)
1 jar BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
If you don't have leftover mashed potatoes, make fresh. Peel, cut, and boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and add salt, butter, and milk. Mash, and if desired, whip with a hand mixer. Cut the sausage into bite sized chunks. Saute in a skillet to heat and cook off some of the fat. Drain the fat from the pan. Return the sausage to the pan and cover with BBQ sauce. Heat through. Serve over a mound of hot mashed potatoes.
