I have fond memories of making popcorn balls to take as a treat to my school class. We would wrap them in plastic wrap and tie with a piece of colorful yarn. They were always a hit...and super cheap and easy!
Pink Popcorn:
2 cups sugar
2/3 cup milk
1 Tbsp light corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups uncooked popcorn
food color
pan spray or soft butter
Pop the popcorn and place in a very large bowl. Mix the sugar, milk, & corn syrup in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly until it reaches firm ball stage or 247 degrees. Remove the pan from the heat and quickly add the vanilla and food coloring. Stir well and pour slowly over the popcorn. Spray or butter your hands and quickly form into balls, or let cool as is for loose candied popcorn.
