Chocolate Chip Bar Cookies
These are cakey, chewy, soft, easy, quick squares of pure delight! Let them cool completely and use cookie cutters to make shapes. I'm not sure if I'll ever go back to making regular chocolate chip cookies again! This is so much faster.
Chocolate Chip Bar Cookies
3/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp water
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
pan spray
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream the butter, sugar, and brown sugar together. Add the eggs, vanilla, and water. Beat well. Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add a little at a time to the butter mixture, mixing well between additions. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts. Spray a 9"x13" cake pan with pan spray. Press the dough into the pan with a little more on the edges than in the center. Bake 23-25 minutes, or until the center is done. Cool completely before cutting...or they'll fall apart. Store in a tightly sealed container.
